Chittenden County Forester and newly published author Ethan Tapper came to the MCA on October 4th and gave a wonderful presentation on his new book "How to Love a Forest." We had a great turn-out that welcomed a lot of new faces to the building. His knowledge, compassion, and clear understanding of the regional fore
sts was inspiring and critical. Ethan carried his sense of humor into what could otherwise have been a somber topic and his personal stories and experiences made the subject matter relatable. We hope to see Ethan in Montgomery again in the future!
We also want to thank Nancy Patch for introducing Ethan, and Cold Hollow to Canada and the Montgomery Conservation Commission for their support of this event (especially Parma Jewett for her amazing baked goods!).
Looking forward to a season filled with more exciting events to bring the community into our newly restored building!
