Feb 23, 2025, 10:00 AM – Mar 09, 2025, 12:00 PM

Montgomery Center for The Arts, Montgomery Center, Montgomery, VT, USA

About

Tatting is very meditative - creating and counting slip knots is what makes this lacy design come to life. What  you will need to bring is the fine dexterity of your fingers and of course patience to create this lacy art! And Veronica will bring the tools and her expertise to show you the fine art of tatting.

What is tatting? It is not crochet or knitting… it is Slip knots made with a shuttle and your fine fingers. Tatting and its origins are still unknown-perhaps the Egyptians were the first to create this fine lace - or perhaps it was fishermen or was it the french?

We do know there is a renewed interest in the making of this fine lace.  Creating bookmarks, jewelry, chokers, ornaments, embellishments on a painting - it isn’t just for pillow cases and hankies…

This is a three part workshop with dates Feb. 23, March 2…
