Plein Air Painting Workshop with Impressionist Painter Dennis Lucas

Plein air painting is about leaving the four walls of your studio behind and experiencing painting and drawing in the landscape. It’s a French phrase that means, simply, “in the open air.” Painting outside isn’t just about enjoying the sun and the breeze, although that’s certainly a big part of the fun. It’s also a great way to paint from direct observation, whether that means a landscape, a cityscape, or even something like a portrait.

This workshop will focus on the natural beauty along The Trout River in Montgomery Vermont with impressionist artist Dennis Lucas. All supplies, canvas, paint, brushes will be included. But if you have your own brushes please bring them if you would like. Class size is limited to 12
