About the event
"'Only those who love trees should cut them,'" writes forester Ethan Tapper. In How to Love a Forest, he asks: what does it mean to live in a time in which ecosystems are in retreat and extinctions rattle the bones of the earth? How do we respond to the harmful legacies of the past? How do we use our species' incredible power to heal rather than to harm? How do we reach towards a better future?" These are the questions Ethan Tapper navigates in his tender and resonating premiere publication.Â
Recently retired Franklin/Grand Isle County Forester (and MCA patron of the Arts) Nancy Patch will present an introduction to Ethan's experience, knowledge, and authorship followed by an in-person reading, author Q&A, and book signing.Â
Food and beverage sponsored by Cold Hollow to Canada. Â Books available for purchase on-site provided by Phoenix Bookstores (your door-ticket-purchase price will go towards a credit on your purchase of a copy of Ethan's book at this event). Further support from Montgomery Conservation Commission.
