About
This exhibition features a selection of works created during Viatcheslav’s time in the United States, offering a vivid glimpse into the landscapes and people of Oklahoma through the eyes of a Russian master.
A spiritual seeker from a young age, Viatcheslav found his religious home in the Russian Orthodox Church during the post-Soviet period. In 2004, Viatcheslav was invited to Del City, Oklahoma, to paint Byzantine-style iconography in the newly established St. Benedict Orthodox Church. Over five years, he completed a major body of ecclesiastical artwork that remains central to the church’s visual and spiritual identity.
Since 2009, Viatcheslav has resided in Novokuznetsk, Siberia, where he continues to work on church restorations and sacred art. Yet he remains equally devoted to painting landscapes and portraits, capturing the world around him with quiet reverence and a masterful hand.
The show is open June 8 through June 22. Gallery Hours Saturdays and…
